Petaluma Coonawarra Evans Vineyard Cabernet Merlot 2019

Five years bottle age has undoubtedly enhanced and smoothed the edges of Coonawarra’s premier red grapes. Cabernet Sauvignon (89%) takes the lead role with Merlot (11%) contributing some of its attractive floral and herbal characteristics. Almost unassuming in aroma in blackberry, cassis, aniseed, woodsy spice and bay leaf. Ups the ante as it moves across the palate with a solid concentration of flavours enhanced by supple, sinewy tannins. Medium-bodied and approachable.
