Pizzini Nero d’Avola 2024

Share

This is a successful example of the variety sitting nicely in the value spot. Black cherry liqueur, violets, plum, pepper spice, nutmeg, raspberry leaf and radish. Poppy and vibrant without being overdone – freshness, lift, buoyancy. Blackberry, tilled earth, black cherry and nutmeg follow. Even-tempered, grainy tannins are integrated and framing, while a nice latent surge of acidity through the finish cleans things up. Juicy, fresh and vibrant – perfect for mid-week pizza or a comforting bowl of pasta.
