The inaugural Riserva release from this producer. Fruit from the Ronco Maso cru, aged in large old Slavonian oak. This is complex and appealingly autumnal. Decaying leaves, dried rose, balsamic, lavender, roast tomato umami, liquorice root, ferrous, pine mushroom. Lots going on! The palate is medium bodied and showing lovely restraint, with rose, balsamic, and liquorice root lifted by a cooling mineral feel. Chalky tannins sit in perfect balance alongside brilliant acidity and endless length. An excellent wine.
