Riposte The Halberd Chardonnay 2024

Share

The Riposte team have dug into history to resurrect the halberd, a long-handled axe blade favoured by musketeers (among others), to help describe their lively, linear and pure ’24 Adelaide Hills Chardonnay. And why not? Scintillating Adelaide Hills acidity is at its best as it cuts and thrusts with energy leading a concentrated wine with wildflower aromatics, citrus aplenty, quince, Meyer lemon, lime peel, green apple and white peach dressed in gently flinty edges.  The palate is poised and crisp, linear and long. Chalky, saline juiciness enlivens the taste buds. All class.
