Schubert Estate The Sentinel Single Vineyard Shiraz 2017

Big and beautiful. The producer knows how to manage super ripe Shiraz. It works towards maximum extraction of colour, flavour and tannin – and it shows – but its oak regime is also up to the job with a mix of seasoned and new French oak coming into play. Marananga bright blueberry, juniper and ironstone notes are here, joined by black plum, boysenberry, spice, dark cocoa and managed sweet, toasty oak. A brace of tannin runs true throughout. An elevated and beautiful display of what Marananga Shiraz can do in a good year. Incredible length of flavour.
