Well, well well. Who remembers Traminer in the 70s and 80s? It was a big deal but then lost favour. Seppelt decided in 2011 to replant it and it was decided that 2023 would be the perfect time to reintroduce it. This cooler site is perfect for creating a finer and quite delicate style devoid of the excessive phenolic edginess that can mar it in some sites. Delightfully fragrant with a typical Turkish Delight aroma and traces of musk and lemon zest. Some time on lees along with the natural acidity offsets neatly the subtle slightly sweet middle palate. Excellent wine. Give it a go.
