Settlers Ridge Margaret River Chenin Blanc 2023

Share

Some low intervention, no added preservative, organic wine action happening here. Lemony bright hues. Textural and honeyed, warm and gentle, it opens in lifted aromas of golden apple, florals, honeysuckle and almond meal. Chenin does texture well. So does this little beauty thanks to some astute oak management which brings not only an attractive whisper of nuttiness but a warm texture. Also does flavour well in citrus, apple, peach skin and lemon tart amid lemony bright acidity. Good to go right now. Chenin Blanc is on the rise. . . . again. It’s good to see and the West, with a strong early history with the grape, is well placed to take advantage.
