Sevenhill Inigo Barbera 2020

This is a mighty impressive expression of this famous Italian variety. Love that slightly brambly earthiness on the nose with a lift of raspberry and cherry. The palate is smooth with vanillin oak and fruit characters offset by a spicy edge. The tannins are muted but ample to do the job. It’ a variety that can be hard to nail, and yet this one gets it.
