Thorn-Clarke Collectors Heritage Edition Shiraz 2021

Here is the quality of the ’21 Barossa vintage on full display. Colour is deep and dense, and the nose shows some nice florals together with the deeper chocolatey, plummy characters that are synonymous with the variety and the region. The palate is rich, deep, dark, and generous with loads of plummy, inky fruit, with a spicy, slightly dark chocolate and mocha character. The striking feature is the balance. The tannins are so fine, yet provide firm support, and the oak is just superbly integrated. Really appealing wine.
