Trait Chardonnay 2020

Pretty dammed impressive first up release for this new Margaret River producer. High class chardonnay, this. The juice ran straight to oak where it was naturally fermented and then went through malolactic fermentation, providing a clear and distinctive textural element. The lees were stirred regularly adding more complexity and richness. Opens with a slightly nougat, butterscotch, and vanilla bean curd aroma. The finish has a slightly appealing savoury character. Cracker.
