Welland Wines Old Hands Shiraz 2021

Share

Showcasing older vine material, lower yields and longer oak maturation here it’s around 40% new American oak for 18 months. Prune plums, boysenberry and carob. A tiramisu of coffee and chocolate swirls. Acidity presents itself and lingers for a nice amount of time, teasing out the palate of sweet fruit and dried fig. An undercurrent of red earth and cherry bitters on the finish. A wine for drinking with long after meal conversations and some crumbly cheddar and muscatel raisins. Drink now or will cellar for another 2-3 years.
