Allinda Wines Yarra Valley Riesling 2019

Share

The Yarra Valley is hardly the first place one thinks of when looking for a quality Riesling, but there are exceptions to every rule (well, there probably aren’t, but you know what I mean). This example, which has the advantage of a little time in the bottle to assist in the development of some early maturity, is made in a dry style. Fermentation was done at cold temperatures. The colour is a pale, subtle yellow with a good intense nose offering florals, citrus, grapefruit notes and a hint of a lemon sponge cake. A mid-length style with four to six years ahead of it, this is certainly worth a look.
