The maker celebrates the different Barossa sub-regions, an exploration of the region’s varied landscapes. In Bethany, Shiraz meets black cracking clays responsible for more medium-bodied, red fruited wines. This lovely ’22 Shiraz falls easily into its Bethany name and style with lively fruit to the fore in plum, bramble, blueberry and cassis. The fruit sings, in large part due to the modest oak component which allows more fruit and spice time to be enjoyed by the drinker. Tannins are fine and well-balanced. Approachable now and beautifully expressive of its place.
