Now we’re talking Rosé. This is a cracking good example of a contemporary Australian Rosé. It comes from Blewitt Springs soils in McLaren Vale, one of my favourite wine regions. Normally associated with Grenache and Shiraz table wines, but in this case, it has worked beautifully as a Rosé. Lovely aromatics from the Grenache, slightly rose-petal perfumed. The palate, though, is something else. It’s light-bodied as you would expect, but there’s a textural influence and a remarkable degree of complexity. Fine, lifted acidity carries through to a lovely finish, with those light red fruits dominant. This is a cracking good example of Rosé.
