Kooyong Estate Pinot Noir 2021

This is such a classical expression of pinot fitting somewhat in that slightly clichéd but still relevant iron fist in the velvet glove category. Because while the immediate sensation is one of lush soft succulent fruit, there is a powerful thread of acid and tannin with a little oak that provides both poise and power. The palate is high energy with a chalky tannin influence that extends through to  the finish. Impressive pinot noir in this very good year.
