Southern Vales Encounter Shiraz 2016

Share

Fifty years ago, the Southern Vale co-operative launched in McLaren Vale, in an old winery, located near the centre of town. While the co-op did not survive, the winery became home to Tatachilla, which then went on to be one of McLaren Vale’s most loved wineries. The Southern Vales wines are a tribute to that history.

The Encounter Shiraz is a classic, old-fashioned McLaren Vale style. It is deeply coloured and follows with BIG SHIRAZ aromas of blackberry, clovey spice and a touch of eucalypt with toasty oak. It is a mouthfiling and generous yet supple wine with masses of flavour on a long and plush palate plus a touch of dried oregano to finish. A spaghetti Bolognese or lasagne special.
