Trove Estate The Laurels Shiraz 2019

The ‘Laurels’ range from Trove Estate in the Margaret River, part of the Byron & Harold empire, is designed to represent wines worthy of receiving laurels, not resting on them. These form the pinnacle of the portfolio and offer full flavours and longevity.

This Shiraz certainly fits the brief. Delicious stuff, inky maroon in colour with a nose of plums, chocolate, dry herbs, spices, warm earth and cloves. Rich and layered, there are soft tannins but plenty of them and good carry here. This is a wine which maintains its intensity right through to the finish. Lots to like here.
