This blend is named in honour of Prue Henschke, recognising her remarkable contribution to botany, environmental stewardship and viticulture. In many ways, the wines that define Henschke today are a reflection of her influence. The blend comprises 33% Cornalin, 16% Shiraz, 14% Grenache, 13% Grenache Gris, 11% Carignan, 8% Clairette and 5% Cinsault. A medium-bodied wine that captures the vibrant red-fruited character of Eden Valley, it was matured in 16% new oak with the balance in seasoned French puncheons for six months. Delightful leafy red fruit aromas are complemented by savoury, sage-like notes. The palate is finely balanced and precise, extending effortlessly through to a long finish. Wonderfully bright and energetic with real verve and vitality. Excellent wine.
